Special Car for A Special Person...Not for everyone...but anyone who recognizes Class and History will understand this car. Almost 100% finished Restoration project...and the owners did it right! New high quality top...New Interior...New Paint Job..Car starts and runs well...but gas tank has a leak in it.(Found a replacement online for about $460) Not the original engine (thank goodness) but British engine has been replaced by a small Chevy V-6 (261CI/3800)and Automatic Transmission..(which makes it more reliable). Hood has small rust spot on it....and some other pock marks coming through...but very minor cmpared to condtion of the rest of the car which is pretty impressive since most of these cars are full of rust...I said the gas tank was bad...but I've installed a temp tank in the trunk using a boat tank...and Wow! does this thing run and drive great! (BTW- it has straight pipes with headers) Along with the car comes 1) The original owners manual and maintainence book 2) A full box of Restoration and Fix It Manuals 3) A Box of samples of the new upholstery 4) Box of small extra misc. parts. 5) A 2" thick stack of receipts showing all the work done on the car...and believe me they spared no expense (well over $13k spent on this car!) Was a labor of love since 1996 Turns out it was a "John's Car Inc" V 6 conversion...so not just some backyard job...For more info you can go to http://www.johnscars.com/tr7/tr7new.html It was called "TR 7 V6 Rocket" New shocks, springs and poly bushings..No A/C at this time...but is set up for it. No Radio...you get to pick and choose which one you want to put in. GM Engine...GM Transmission...What does this all mean? If you want a Triumphr that stands out...that is fun to drive..that is pretty reliable (and fast) and has been loved and restored carefully...you can have all this for only $3495 PS I know there are TR 7's out there...and the prices are all over the place...but if you want only the nicest and the best for a reasonable cost..this fits that bill. You have to see it to appreciate it... (Currently have a boat gas tank installed in the back so you can see the car run...you might want to replace it with a new one)
